Mi Smile Family Dental — Transparent policies so every patient knows what to expect

We believe in full transparency. These policies exist to protect both our patients and our team, and to ensure fair access to appointments for everyone we serve.

Cancellation Policy

  • We ask for 24 hours advance notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling.
  • You can cancel by phone at 832-779-5522 during office hours (Tue, Wed, Fri 9am–6pm).
  • Repeated no-shows (3 or more) may result in a requirement for prepayment to reserve future appointments.
  • We understand that emergencies happen — please call us as soon as you know you cannot make it and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Late Arrival Policy

  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes early for your first appointment to complete paperwork.
  • Patients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled to avoid disrupting other patients' appointments.
  • If you are running late, please call 832-779-5522 so we can advise on whether we can still accommodate you.

Payment Policy

  • Insurance: We accept Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, CHIP, and most PPO insurance plans. We bill insurance directly. You are responsible for your co-pay, deductible, and any non-covered services.
  • Co-pays and balances are due at the time of service.
  • Financing: We offer CareCredit (6–24 months) and Sunbit (6–72 months, 87% approval (per Sunbit.com, March 2026)) for balances not covered by insurance.
  • Coverage disclaimer: Final benefit amounts are determined by your insurer. We provide good-faith estimates but cannot guarantee coverage. We verify benefits before your appointment at no charge.

New Patient Policy

  • Please bring your insurance card, a photo ID, and any current medication list to your first visit.
  • For children under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present at the first appointment.
  • Complete dental records from your previous dentist, if available, help Dr. Maddipati provide the most informed care.

Warranty on Dental Work

  • If a filling placed by our clinic fails within 12 months due to a clinical defect (not patient behavior), we will repair or replace it at no charge.
  • Crowns and bridges carry a 12-month warranty against laboratory defects when proper home care is maintained.
  • Warranty does not apply to damage caused by injury, grinding (bruxism), or failure to follow post-care instructions.

After-Hours Emergencies

Mi Smile Family Dental is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9am–6pm, and Saturday by appointment. For dental emergencies outside these hours:

  • Call 832-779-5522 — our voicemail provides emergency guidance.
  • For severe swelling, uncontrolled bleeding, or signs of infection — go to your nearest emergency room immediately.
  • Call us first thing when we reopen for follow-up care.
