Caring for Your Veneers
Porcelain veneers are cared for the same way as natural teeth — daily brushing with a non-abrasive toothpaste and regular flossing. With proper care, porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 15 years or longer before replacement is needed.
Use a soft-bristled toothbrush — medium or hard bristles can scratch porcelain over time
Avoid biting directly into very hard foods (ice, hard candy, raw almonds) with veneered teeth
If you grind your teeth at night (bruxism), mention this to Dr. Maddipati — a custom night guard significantly extends the life of veneers and is one of the most important protective steps
Continue 6-month check-ups so Dr. Maddipati can monitor fit and appearance over time
